A stunning arena with arena-grade lime surface, impeccably groomed and maintained. The surface provides consistent, springy footing, perfect for many equine pursuits.
The Viewing Hut provides you with full tea and coffee making facilities, including a bar fridge and biscuits. A white board and cork board is also available, along with coat hooks and shelves.
Here you will find the Arena Rules and Liability Disclaimer which must be signed by each user, including non-riders attending the property.
Full Show Jump Course
Not only does Montana Horse Arena proide you with a gorgeous surface to work on, but it also provides you with a full course of show jumps for you to use.
A good assortment of rails, stands and wings are available.
Jumps can be moved around - but we do follow a leave it how you found it policy.
25m Round Pen
The closed in 25m round pen is great for green or young horses. The soft grassy surface provides good footing, and is excelllent for lunging.
We have also used it for riders needing a confidence boost, beginner riders, and for young riders coming off the lead rein.
The round pen is a safe area for you to confidently work with your horse.
Easy Access and Parking for Horse Floats & Trucks
Great parking is available with lots of room for floats and trucks, providing the perfect location for groups and clinics.
The grounds are kept in immaculate condition. Please enquire with us for any sort of function requests or ideas.
Flood Lighting for Evening Riding
The arena is fully flood lit which is perfect for the evenings during winter when there is not enough light after work.
The flood lights work perfectly to completely light the entire arena, making it easy for you and your horse to school or have lessons without having to reschedule.
We Hold Show Jump Practice Days Regularly

Montana Horse Arena offers beautifully maintained paddocks for hire. Troughs and hoses are provided.
We also provide yards that are available for use at no extra cost whilst there for a lesson, otherwise prices are as listed below in our Rates section.
Ride Your Horse or Pony to Music
Are you keen on riding your horse or pony to music, or have a freestyle dressage test to practice?
We provide a CD player for you to play your music. Speakers can be set up around the arena upon request.
Book Online
Montana Arena gives you the ability to book your arena hire time online. Payment is currently not
accepted online, however you are able to book your spaces and pay cash on the day or by bank deposit. If paying by bank deposit, once you have made your booking you will receive a confirmation email providing our bank details.
Using the online
booking scheduler, you will be able to book recurring time slots week in and out. If you have any
questions about your booking, please call Paul on 021 651 906 anytime between 9am and 5pm,
Monday to Friday.
Montana uses Setmore to take your bookings, and it will allow you to create a login account so that if you are a frequent user,
you won’t have to type in all your details every single time. If you encounter any problems with the Setmore scheduler, please let
us know at contact@montanahorsearena.co.nz.

Arena Hire

The arena has a full set of dressage letters, and is immaculately maintained and groomed on a regular basis. A ring-side mounting block is also provided.
The arena is big enough to facilitate a full show jump course, and is ideal for lessons, clinics, competitions, small groups and more. Enquiries for any sort of function are welcome.

Conditions
Whiteboard order will apply. Points will be awarded for 1st to 4th in each class and clear rounds. Maximum of 3 rounds per horse/pony. Only one round will count towards the series on the day, so you will need to nominate your round to the judge before you start. The winners of each group category A, B & C are the ones with the highest combined total points over the 3 days. They will receive a rug and BetaVet products! There will also be prizes for second and third plus the winner of each class each day, and spot prizes too! The practice day will go ahead regardless of the weather. NO DOGS PLEASE. Please show consideration for our gate stewards and fellow competitors by completing your rounds within a reasonable time frame. Practice fences available. Please pick up all manure from parking area and yards - place in the bins provided. You enter at your own risk, you are required to download and sign our liability disclaimer further down the page if you haven't already.
Please observe the Rules of Use at Montana Arena while you are on the property. Every user and every
spectator on the property at any given time accepts that they enter at their own risk; Montana Horse
Arena shall not be liable for any harm to you or others resulting in such use. A liability disclaimer can be
found and signed in the Viewing Hut at the arena.
Arena Rules
You must wear a certified, licensed helmet at all times whilst riding on the property
Correct footwear must be worn on the property at all times i.e., closed in shoes
Any breakages of arena equipment must be paid for ($25 per pole)
Please leave the arena as you found it - please respect this policy
Every rider must clear all horse faeces from the arena and yards, car park area and paddocks. You will be provided with a wheelbarrow, muck out tools and a muck pile
Rates are based on an hourly basis with a degree of flexibility - please do not abuse this policy
Maintain safe practices at all times
All peoples accept that they enter the property at their own risk, proprietor denies all liability
Courteous behaviour towards other users is expected at all times
The proprietor reserves the right to ask riders to leave if unsafe or dangerous practices are observed
No dogs allowed on the property at any time
Every rider/user must sign a liability disclaimer at time of hireage
